The Centre for the Study of Complex Dynamics (CSDC) is an inter-departmental structure of the University of Florence. It has the goal of promoting and coordinating research among the departments of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Computer Science, Biology, Information Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Education Science and Psychology, Medicine. The director of the department is Prof. Roberto Livi, and the administrative aspects are managed by the department of Physics.
Role in the Project
UNIFI role will be key in two main aspects of InSPIRES: establishment of the Italian network of SS) in order to expand the SS models across Italy (WP4) and the assessment on how further PE engagement activities could be integrated into SS 2.0 model. Indeed, their experience and expertise in Science Cafés will be fundamental, as well as their knowledge on fundamental sciences, Internet Science and the management of the medias tools.
